Cave City, Kentucky is a city that is located in Barren County. As of 2010, Cave City has a population of about 2,000 people. The city is considered to be part of the Glasgow Micropolitan Statistical Area. The area in which Cave City is located was acquired in 1853 by the Knob City Land Company. The first post office in Cave City was established in 1860 and in 1866 the city became incorporated.
